Welcome to Sage Motel. These Terms & Conditions govern all reservations and stays at Sage Motel. By making a reservation, checking in, or staying at the property, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Reservations

These Terms & Conditions apply to all reservations made directly with Sage Motel, through our website, by telephone, email, walk-in, or through any third-party booking platform.

Reservations are not guaranteed until a valid payment method has been provided.

Guests are responsible for ensuring all reservation information, including contact information, is accurate.

2. Check-In & Check-Out

Check-In: 2:00 PM Mountain Time

Check-Out: 10:00 AM Mountain Time

Early check-in and late check-out may be available based on occupancy and may incur additional charges.

Rooms that are not secured by a valid payment method may be cancelled or released at the motel's discretion.

3. Identification

For security and fraud prevention, guests may be required to present:

  • A valid government-issued photo ID.

  • A valid credit or debit card matching the reservation.

Failure to provide satisfactory identification or payment may result in refusal of service.

4. Occupancy

Each room has a maximum occupancy established for guest safety.

Only registered guests may occupy the room unless prior approval has been granted by management.

Additional occupants may result in additional charges or termination of the reservation without refund.

5. Payment Authorization

A valid credit or debit card is required to secure all reservations unless otherwise approved by Sage Motel.

Reservations remain subject to the applicable cancellation policy. After the free cancellation period has expired, Sage Motel reserves the right to process the payment method on file for the full reservation amount at any time prior to arrival.

By providing a payment method, guests authorize Sage Motel to:

  • Charge the room rate and applicable taxes.

  • Charge approved incidental expenses.

  • Charge for damages, excessive cleaning, smoking violations, unauthorized pets, missing items, unpaid balances, or other charges authorized under these Terms & Conditions.

  • Process additional charges discovered after checkout following inspection of the room.

Guests remain financially responsible for all charges incurred during their stay.

6. Declined or Invalid Payment Methods

Guests are responsible for maintaining a valid payment method for the duration of the reservation.

If payment cannot be processed after the cancellation deadline, Sage Motel may attempt to contact the guest using the information provided with the reservation.

If we are unable to obtain a valid payment method before arrival, or if the guest cannot be reached within a reasonable period, Sage Motel reserves the right to cancel the reservation without further notice and release the room for resale.

If a payment method becomes invalid or is declined during the stay, immediate payment by another acceptable method may be required.

7. Room Inspection

All guest rooms are inspected after checkout.

Damage, missing items, excessive cleaning, or policy violations discovered after departure may be charged to the payment method on file.

8. Damage & Excessive Cleaning

Guests accept responsibility for any damage caused by themselves, members of their party, visitors, or animals brought onto the property.

Guests also agree to pay for excessive cleaning beyond the scope of normal housekeeping, including but not limited to:

  • Pet waste

  • Bodily fluids

  • Excessive trash

  • Food or beverage spills requiring specialized treatment

  • Carpet or upholstery extraction

  • Smoke or odor remediation

  • Biohazard cleanup

  • Stains requiring professional cleaning

  • Damage to furniture, fixtures, linens, towels, mattresses, appliances, or motel property

  • Missing or stolen items

Charges will reflect the reasonable cost of labor, materials, repairs, replacement, professional cleaning, and any associated expenses.

If a room cannot be rented because it requires extraordinary cleaning or repair resulting from a guest's stay, Sage Motel reserves the right to recover the resulting loss of revenue where permitted by law.

9. No Smoking Policy

Smoking, vaping, marijuana use, or the use of any combustible or electronic smoking device is prohibited inside all guest rooms and motel buildings.

A minimum $250 smoking remediation fee will be assessed for violations.

Additional charges may apply for:

  • Professional odor removal

  • Damaged linens or furnishings

  • Room repairs

  • Additional labor

  • Lost revenue if the room cannot be rented

10. Pet Policy

Sage Motel is a strictly non-pet-friendly property.

Pets are not permitted in guest rooms or elsewhere on motel property unless required by applicable law.

Guests bringing unauthorized animals onto motel property are subject to a minimum $250 unauthorized pet policy violation and cleaning fee.

Additional charges may be assessed for:

  • Pet waste

  • Pet hair removal

  • Carpet cleaning

  • Upholstery cleaning

  • Odor removal

  • Property damage

  • Professional cleaning

  • Lost revenue if the room cannot be rented

Service Animals

Service animals, as defined by applicable law, are welcome.

Emotional support animals, comfort animals, therapy animals, and pets are not considered service animals under applicable law and are not permitted.

11. Guest Conduct

Guests are expected to respect motel property, employees, and other guests.

Sage Motel reserves the right to refuse service or immediately terminate a stay without refund for behavior including, but not limited to:

  • Illegal activity

  • Disorderly conduct

  • Excessive noise

  • Harassment

  • Threatening behavior

  • Violence

  • Property damage

  • Violation of motel policies

  • Conduct that interferes with the comfort or safety of others

12. Parking

One vehicle may be parked directly in front of each guest room.

Additional vehicles must use designated overflow parking when available.

Sage Motel is not responsible for theft of or damage to vehicles or personal property left inside vehicles.

13. Children

Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times while on motel property.

14. Stay Extensions

Extensions are subject to availability and current rates.

Approval is not guaranteed.

15. Cancellation Policy

Reservations may be cancelled without penalty until 2:00 PM Mountain Time, 24 hours before the scheduled arrival date, unless a different cancellation policy was disclosed at the time of booking.

Reservations cancelled after the applicable deadline, no-shows, or reservations that fail to arrive will be charged the first night's stay unless otherwise stated in the reservation confirmation.

16. Early Departure

Guests choosing to depart before their scheduled departure date remain responsible for the reservation unless otherwise approved by management.

17. Lost & Found

Lost items will be retained for a reasonable period at management's discretion.

Guests are responsible for all shipping and handling costs associated with returning lost property.

Sage Motel is not responsible for lost, stolen, or abandoned items.

18. Privacy

Guest information is collected for reservation management, payment processing, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.

Information may be disclosed when required by law or lawful governmental request.

19. Website Information

While every reasonable effort is made to ensure the accuracy of information on our website, errors may occur.

Rates, room types, amenities, policies, and availability are subject to change without notice.

Photographs are representative and may not depict the exact room assigned.

20. Force Majeure

Sage Motel shall not be liable for failure to perform its obligations when such failure results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, fire, utility outages, governmental actions, labor disputes, pandemics, or other events that make operation of the motel unsafe or impracticable.

21. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sage Motel is not responsible for the loss of, theft of, or damage to personal property, vehicles, trailers, recreational equipment, or valuables brought onto motel property.

Guests are encouraged to secure their belongings at all times.

22. Entire Agreement

These Terms & Conditions constitute the entire agreement between Sage Motel and the guest regarding the reservation and stay and supersede any prior verbal or written representations.

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is determined to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
